Essay topic:
A glance at the provided graph reveals significant comparison of various energy resources in the terms of consuming. Supplied data is concerning the USA and statistics are relevant to 5-decade’s period.
It is apparent from the graph that a role of petrol and oil was and will be by far the most considerable for the USA. Prior to facing some ups and downs between 1985 and 1995, 35 quadrillion units was used in 1980. Petrol and oil will retain its dominant position by proliferation until 2030. Concentrating on coal and natural gas, very little discrepancy can be noticed from the graph despite the difference by approximately 5 and 7 quadrillion units at the initial and final decades respectively.
Nuclear, solar/wind and hydropower energies are assessed to be less significant. Starting from a negligible 4 quadrillion units, statistics were comparable until 1990. Followed and the following decades are believed to bring some divergence between them, resulting in nuclear energy’s higher portion which might reach 6 quadrillion in the end.
