Essay topic:
Traveling by air is much cheaper and more convenient than before, but it also brings some environmental pollution. Discuss both view and give your opinion.
As well as being very exiting, airplane travel has become one of the most efficient ways to travel around the world nowadays. Although flying on a plane is preferable to many other methods of transportation, it is not without its disadvantages. In this essay, I am going to examine some merits and demerits of air travel and state my opinion.
Undoubtedly, air travel is often more comfortable than some of the alternatives. It is now possible to get to the destinations all over the world at very affordable prices because of the availability of the cheap flights. In recent days, it is also easy to go to the places that would previously too far away for most of us to travel to. Commercial airlines now interact with passenger in a very engaging and personalized way to make the journey more convenient. For example, in last year when I visited my home country, I booked the ticket online and the airlines also sent me the itineraries and e ticket by mail.
On the other hand, it has recently become recognized that air travel is a major source of pollution. Air travel contributes to the climate change, and causes environmental damage by producing noise and emitting gas. Aircraft's emit their exhaust gas pollutants directly in to the sensitive part of the atmosphere. Scientific studies have shown that these high altitude emissions have a more harmful climate impact. The noise and gases produced by airplane also have a detrimental effect to the human body. For instance, scientists are assuming that the number of lung cancer patient will increase because of the large amount of air pollution causing by air travel.
To sum up, air plane is one the most time saving and safest mode of transportation that exists today. I think, scientist should innovate new technology or fuel that will make air transportation more efficient in near future and help reduce its climate impact.
