Extracurricular activities are very important for children to have a well balanced life between theoretical and other activities in studies. There are set of people who tend to think that few people are born with talent pertaining to sports or music while others refutes and believe this can be well taught. Both these aspects need to be examined before coming on to a final decision. My inclination is argued further.

The former view states that, few individuals have some inheritant born qualities which lead them to success in their desired subject. I agree to a large extent and would justify further with examples. It is indeed a fact that people with extra qualities are well distinguished among the crowd. These qualities are by birth and well nurtured throughout life. For instance, the great sports personality from Indian cricket team Mr. Sachin Tendulkar , legendary western dancer Mr. Micheal Jackson, Ninetingle of India singer Ms. Lata Mangeshkar and many more. These reputed personalities in our world wouldn't have existed in real if they would have not recognized their skills. Apart form this if they might have opted for career in different areas, the success would have definitely differed. In the light of above details, I would like to say that every individual is born with some special talent but that has to be retained.

On the other hand, some argue that children can learn such talent and groom their career. To some extent it is true. Since development of skills requires efforts it is an art of learning which is undoubtedly executed only by sheer practice. According to me, any child can be taught to gain and improvise the talent but one can always see the difference in the born talent and skill based learner performance. Their efforts towards the end results shows their talent, which can be easily recognized by others.

To sum up , I would conclude that children are in a phase where their talent is varied spectrum can be explored by proper nurturing whether they are born or inculcated.
