From a decade, Juvenile’s way of time utilization has become a debating issue. Some people argue that children should spend time in reading books than to use electronic media for entertainment. In this essay, I will support their views due to various personal and social development reasons.

There is no doubt that books are necessary to increase personal and social bonds. Firstly, these help the child to become a good reader and grip a command over particular language. For example, books help the child to learn vocabulary, sentence structure and creativity while using the words. Consequently, such interest assists him in his long run personal development. Secondly, little ones can learn life experience and motivational regimes to indulge themselves in social and emotional surroundings. For example, children books are always a combination of bravery, family relationship and success stories. Such themes motivate the adolescent to adjust himself in the ever changing environment.

However, in today’s fast changing world only books cannot develop child’s ability and capability. Television and computers are becoming necessary for his analytical ability and up to date knowledge. To start with, computer games increases the mental ability of the young ones. For example, puzzle games help him to intensify his brain. Moreover, there are also various international competitions over electronic games for children where they learn to become competitive game players. Not only this, television provides up to date information to child and he often learn more while watching than just reading. For example, they try to find their role models like bat man and spider man and dress up like them. They learn how their hero’s are fighting against social evils. However, most of the times, children often feel over dependent on such medias that they start to ignore other activities like eating, physical games and studying.

To recapitulate, although television and computer are also necessary, reading books has its own taste and power to motivate and help a child to learn the world more deeply. Hence, little ones should strictly be given a proportion of their time for books in addition to other activities of their interest.
