The graph gives information about the demand of electricity in England during typical days in winter and summer. It is clear that the daily electricity consumption during winter season is higher than in the summer. Both seasons have similar traits which have the noticeable fluctuation throughout the day.
Turning into details, in summer, the electrical consumption decreases steadily from an approximate 18000 units, reaching the lowest point of the graph which is 12000 units in the first 9 hours. Then, it jumps the biggest leap from the lowest units, hitting the peak which is 20000 units at about 14 hours. The daily demand for electricity after 14 hours goes down again and remains nearly constant, followed by an increase and a decrease. Whereas, in the coldest season of the year, the electricity used rises from 35000 units and falls to the lowest electricity units-approximately 30000 units during the first 8 hours. Soon, it goes up steadily with a minor increase in between 13 hours to 20 hours, followed by a surge to the peak which is about 46000 units. After 22 hours, it goes down again.
There is a pie chart, indicating how electricity is used in an average English home. Most of the electricity consumption which comprises 52.5%, is made to heat up the room and the water, whereas the household appliances such as ovens, kettles as well as the washing machines require a 17.5% of electricity used. The lighting, TV and radio consume the least electricity(15%), so do the vacuum cleaners, food mixers and the electric tools.
Overall, in England, most of the families use up more electricity to keep themselves warm in the winter.
